Before Jesus's crucifixion, he prayed in John 17:20-21 that we all may be one as He was one with the Father.
This is Trinities desire that you and I also coexist, indwell and share in the Divine Trinity with the
Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This is a wonderful invitation to the world. Through Jesus death
and resurrection, the Trinity now dwells in His believers Ephesians 4:6, John 14:20 and John 17:21.
The Trinity has an important part in your prayer life in that when praying remember that we are to pray
to the Father, through the Son and in the Holy Spirit Ephesians 2:18. It is God's desire that all
of His believers be built up and join into the one Body of Christ to express the oneness of the Triune God.
We have covered several aspects of the Trinity as how God is one, how God is 3 Persons,
how all 3 in the Trinity coexist together and how they're all eternal. We covered how the Father is God,
how the Son is God and how the Holy Spirit is God. We covered how the Father and Son, the Son and Holy
Spirit and the Father and Holy Spirit are all inseparable. We looked at some of the same names that the
Father and Son both are called. And last we seen that it is God's desire that we also become one in the
Trinity. As we try to get an understanding of the Trinity and why it exists, maybe a simple explanation
would be that God is just too big and too vast for us to comprehend and absorb in His almighty form so
He sent Jesus and the Holy Spirit to us in 2 forms that we could better deal with.
I hope this study has given you a better understanding of the Trinity and in closing I want to
leave you with the following verse.
"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,
and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
Amen."
2 Corinthians 13:14
